Summer is just about over and it’s time for school to start once again. All the public schools start on Monday, August 25. The Jewish Academy starts Wednesday, August 20, and Cathedral Catholic starts on Monday, August 25. In addition, all the fall sports are starting up, so the parks are full of soccer players and the cross country runners are out on the sidewalks. Please drive carefully and watch for children. You might want to avoid the Town Center at lunch hour, too (the high school students add to the parking woes of the center.)

I haven’t visited the Ocean Air Community Park site for a while, but I understand the work is moving right along (construction moves faster when it doesn’t rain, and it never rains here!) Someone asked if the park would have tennis courts, and I’m sorry to say that it will not have any. I’ve added a copy of the park’s General Development Plan to the Rec Center page, along with a link here (click on the picture.)
