There is a website to keep you up-to-date on the I-5 widening project between here and Oceanside, www.KeepSanDiegoMoving.com. The flier I received says:

I know that most of the dog owners in the community are responsible people, but it appears that some are not. I’m starting to hear a growing concern in the community about dogs being off leash in places where they are dangerous, and about owners not cleaning up after their dogs.

So, how about some common sense rules:

• Please clean up after your dog and dispose of the waste in a trash can. This is especially true on sports fields and at schools, where kids will be playing.
• Please do not run your dog on a sports field if there is a practice in session.
• Anyone using school facilities during school hours must check in with the school office first. This includes joint-use park facilities, like the sports fields at Solana Highlands or Carmel Creek. (more…)
