If you’re interested in the Sunrise Powerlink issue, you should look at the Sunrise Powerlink Draft Environmental Impact Report (actually, it’s title is “Draft Environmental Impact Report / Environmental Impact Statement and Draft Land Use Plan Amendment”.) The report is much bigger than its title — don’t try to print it. If you want to study a hard copy, there is one available at the Carmel Valley Library.

The Carmel Valley Skate Park has been delayed again, with opening probably late this year. The contractor will be selected late this month, with construction to begin in March. From there, the construction is scheduled to take six months. Once construction is complete, there are always issues that need to be resolved (it happens with every project.) I assume we’ll get better schedule information as the project progresses.
In addition to the regular Traffic Page for San Diego County, the State has a number of Traffic Cameras from Via de la Valle to the Merge. You can view them at the I-5/805 Widening Cameras Page.

The new center is located just to the west of the Vons Center in Torrey Hills, at the corner of Carmel Mountain Road and East Ocean Air Drive. The center contains a new dance studio (Love To Dance), a bank, a children’s toy (hair?) store, and more. If you have details on the stores, add the information in the comments!
