Activities start at 5:00 PM with the movie starting at dusk. I believe that one of the local youth sports groups will be there selling popcorn and drinks, so you can pull up a blanket, grab your snacks and enjoy. MCAS Miramar Night-Time OperationsThe community relations group at MCAS Miramar regularly issues notices about operations on the base. Here are the updates for Aug 24-28, 2009:
Weather conditions could propagate aircraft noise and you may experience varying degrees of noise and vibration within adjacent communities. August 11, 2009Carmel Valley Community CouncilWay back in the ’90s, there was a group called the Carmel Valley Community Council that ran community events like the 4th of July Parade and the Chili Cookoff. Members included Eric Studer, Tom Ritchie, Bill Johnson and someone (before my time) named John. Does anyone out there remember John’s last name, or have contact information for John or Eric? If you do, contact me at ken@cvsd.com, or leave the information in the comments. Thanks! |
