2nd Annual Touch-A-Truck fundraiser for Max’s Ring of Fire Childhood Cancer Organization. Kids get a chance to get behind the wheel and rub elbows with their hometown heroes, and climb-on and explore over 50 of their favorite vehicles including big rigs, race cars, fire engines, motorcycles and construction trucks. A message from the City about Torrey Highlands Park and the Dog Park: Torrey Highlands Park will be closed to vehicular traffic between June 7 and June 11, 2010 due to road work at the entrance of the park at Lansdale Drive. In addition, during the same period, the off-leash dog park will also be closed due to the retrofitting of the current irrigation system. New Zumba fitness classes for Adults (and possibly older teens), at the Boys & Girls Club Polster Branch on Mykonos Lane (next to the middle school.) Classes begin Saturday, May 8. Zumba fitness classes are primarily targeted toward adults looking for a great cardio workout. The program fuses Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program.
