The Carmel Valley Recreation Council will meet on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Carmel Valley Recreation Center (3777 Townsgate Drive.) The
There are two free concerts at the CV Library this November: Kabbalah Suite by Yochanan Sebastian Winston on November 14, and Congregation Beth Am Choir on November 27. The Wednesday, Nov. 14 concert will feature the virtuoso flute, bass flute, soprano and alto sax playing of Yochanan Sebastian Winston, the composer of the Kabbalah Suite. This original music combines jazz, new age, classical and Jewish influences inspired by the ancient wisdom of the Kabbalah. The Tuesday, Nov. 27 concert will feature the Congregation Beth Am choir directed by Elisheva Edelson in a program of Ladino music entitled “Judeo Spagnol Songs of the XV and XVI Centuries.” Concerts start at 7:00 pm and last 45 minutes. The Carmel Valley 5k and Kids Fun Run is scheduled for December 8, 2012. The race, which starts and ends at Carmel Del Mar Elementary School, and extends along the beautiful CVREP* trail, benefits the Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF). From the race info: This run will highlight the beauty of Carmel Valley and the people within our community by running part of the course along the 56 bike trail! The DMSEF is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) that supports the Del Mar Union School District. The Foundation was founded to raise the necessary funds to provide Del Mar students with enrichment programs such as science, music, art, technology and physical education. See
